Piotr Horzela

A storyteller, traveller and naturalist. He spent half of his life in the wilderness, the other half in big cities and says he won’t ever be able to decide between the two. Luckily, he doesn’t have to as he often combines travelling with working in some of the most remote places on the planet. That’s how he found himself spending 1.5 year in the Polish Polar Station and close to 2 years in the world’s youngest country, South Sudan. He prefers spending half a year in one place rather than rushing through ten countries every other fortnight.

For the past three years, he’s been traversing Poland talking about the people, places and experiences he encountered during his travels, enriching his lectures with videos, pictures and a great sense of humor. His most recent undertaking is a YouTube channel through which he shows and explains the beauty and mysteries of Polish nature. With less than 20 videos up and running, he has already gathered a following of about 10 000 subscribers.
