Cristian Fracassi and Alessandro Romaioli
Cristian and Alessandro are working at Isinnova – the Italian startup company that produces emergency ventilators. Collaborating with Dr. Renato Favero they came up with an idea how to fix the possible shortage of hospital C-PAP masks for sub-intensive therapy, which is emerging as a concrete problem linked to the spread of Covid-19. They constructed an emergency ventilator mask by adjusting a snorkeling mask already available on the market. The prototype was tested at the hospital and deemed a success. Isinnova then patented their connecting “Charlotte” valve (3D printed part), not to profit off of it, but to be sure the design is kept free.
You can find the files to print the valves here.
Cristian, CEO of Isinnova, holds a PhD in material engineer and a master in economics and business idea development.
